Hello! Welcome to a blog dedicated to the rantings of Ulcerative Colitis patients. The main point of this blog is to let people suffering with UC know that they are not alone! There are so many of us who deal with this every day, and feel the same frustration/embarrassment/acceptance that you're feeling.

I want to quickly introduce myself; my name is Samantha and I'm a 21 year old U of Florida gator who has been dealing with UColitis for 5 years. I've been on Asacol, Apriso, and Prednisone, but I'm still not in remission. This is the reason I wanted to start this blog: I'm participating in a study that the Shands hospital at UF is starting - a new med for UC. I want to document the journey back into remission, and also the daily frustrations that we all face dealing with IBD.

Please feel free to ask any questions, or simply submit a rant about something you're frustrated about (below). Above all, know that you are not alone. This blog is to let you know that you have a friend who knows EXACTLY what you're going through :). Good health to all <3

I used to absolutely love thunderstorms!

However, last night I realized that I think rain and this type of weather can seriously increase my joint pains… I don’t think I love thunderstorms anymore!
